"Amendment 4 is already bankrupting one Florida town"
Amendment 4 is a proposed amendment of Florida’s constitution which would require taxpayer-funded referenda on all changes to local government comprehensive plans. In other words, this “Vote on Everything” amendment would force Floridians – not the representatives they elect – to decide hundreds of technical comprehensive plan changes each year.  This proposed over - regulation  could seriously impact your ability to do business.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP FIGHT THIS?

2. Spread the word using Facebook, emails, yard signs
3. Lobby your elected officials to speak against Amendment 4
4. Encourage early voting: October 18th- 30th         SRC Supervisor of  Elections
5. Encourage your clients to register to vote (see below)

   Florida Realtors has teamed up with the Supervisor of Elections to help remind homebuyers of the necessity to amend their voter registration information when they move.  Information will be available for Realtors to use at closing time etc.

FLORIDA REALTORS RESIDENTIAL CONTRACT FOR SALE OR PURCHASE
There are major changes to the Florida REALTORS® Residential Contract for Sale and Purchase formerly known as the FAR/BAR Contract.  The new contract is over 40 pages there are extensive changes that you need to be aware of.  NABOR is hosting an instructional class on the revised contract on Monday, September 13^th, 2010 .   To register, click here.

SRC MILITARY AIRPORT ZONE FOR EGLIN AFB
The SRC Board of County Commissioners recently voted to amend the current Military Airport Zone notifications and add an MAZ for Eglin Air Force Base to include our entire selling area .  This affects your business and is information that you need to know.   At the September Membership Luncheon, Shawn Ward, Planner, with the Santa Rosa County Development Services will explain the changes and new requirements.  RSVP required - click here

SUPRA KEY PAYMENT INFORMATION
The deadline for the Display Key renewal has passed. If you do not want to renew the lease, and have not returned the key to cancel the account, NABOR staff cannot automatically void the invoice.
Supra will allow approximately two additional weeks for keyholders to return the key and cancel the account without paying the renewal fees. NABOR staff must call Supra Support and request a write-off of the invoice to cancel the account without collecting the overdue amount. After the additional period ends, a prorated portion of the lease renewal must be paid before the account can be cancelled. THE LAST DAY TO CANCEL THE  KEY ACCOUNT WITHOUT PAYING THE LEASE RENEWAL IS SEPTEMBER 10, 2010.
If you plan to upgrade to an eKey, and are waiting for the IPhone adapter, Supra Support will write off all or a portion of the renewal fee, upon verbal request from NABOR staff.
