NABOR OFFICE HOURS WEEK OF JUNE 29th The NABOR office will be unmanned on Thursday, July 2nd due to family court being held in the building
(no store/lockbox service).
Email will be answered as usual.
The office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of Independence Day. Normal office hours will
resume on Monday, July 6th.
The firework display will take place at 9:00 pm after the Concert in the Park by Lektric Mullet.
DISTRICT 9 MEETING
District 9 comprises of the membership of the 5 Northwest Florida Boards, Navarre, Pensacola, Emerald Coast, Santa Rosa and Bay County. District 9 is holding its annual meeting next Tuesday, July 7th at 10:00 am. at the ECAR office on Hollywood Boulevard. Anyone wishing to attend is welcome, there will also be an opportunity to meet the candidates who are running for FAR positions, via video conferencing. NABOR President, Mike Simpson, is running as our first ever District Vice President in the upcoming 2010 election.
What you should know about the First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 offers an $8,000 tax credit for first-time buyers who purchase a home on or after Jan. 1, 2009, and before Dec. 1, 2009. Unlike previous tax credits for first-time buyers, this one doesn’t have to be repaid. Click here for additional information.

BOARD LEADERSHIP CHANGES
It is with much sadness that, today, the Board of Directors accepted Carol Andersen’s resignation as your 2009 President Elect.
Carol’s husband has been selected for a position at the prestigious NATO Defense College in Italy, and from there they will most likely transition to Fort Belvoir in Virginia. Carol has been a passionate advocate for constantly improving the Board, and her professionalism and integrity, both as a REALTORÒ and director of this organization, will be sorely missed.
In accordance with the Bylaws, the Board of Directors unanimously approved the following changes for the remainder of 2009:
Dorothy Slye will immediately assume the role of 09 President elect Patti Mankoff, will undertake a dual role of 09 Sectary/Treasurer Amity Parrish will fill the vacant director’s seat for the remainder of the year.

NABOR needs strong leaders committed to the success of the organization willing to step up, make sound business decisions and move the Board forward in this changing economic climate.

NAVARRE PASS LATEST From Chuck Pohlman:
"The Navarre Pohlmann Pass Committee has decided to "NOT" meet on the 28th or the 29th of June as planned. We are answering the Joint Land Use Study findings to our Commissioners at this time. We are also in the search mode of looking for the company or group (including Universities) that will conduct the feasibility and the environmental studies and the costs associated with these studies. Once we have that information, the committee feels we will be in better shape to disseminate this news all at once at the next meeting which we hope to have at the middle or the end of July 2009."
